Course Description

This program is designed for anyone handling food in a workplace such as servers and cooks.

In this BASICS.fst certification course learn about what you need to know to comply with public health requirements and how to apply safe food practices in your workplace. This course covers topics such as: The flow of food and facility design Personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing Proper food storage, Temperature Danger Zone, food allergies and food safety regulations. BASICS.fst has been designed to meet all of the recommended requirements of the Canadian Food Retail and Food Service Code and Regulations. Certification expires after 5 years.

Exam consists of 50 multiple choice questions and a passing grade of 74% is required for certification
